Delete your account

Any KnockList user may request deletion of the personal account and associated profile without reinstalling the app. The current pilot uses a manually verified email request while the authenticated deletion portal remains unavailable. A paid subscription or campaign-manager approval is not required.
Effective August 13, 2026

Start a request

Email support@knocklistapp.com from the address associated with your KnockList account and use the subject “Delete my KnockList account.” Support will verify the request before acting. Do not send voter-file rows, doorstep outcomes, campaign records, or sensitive field notes.

The automated browser status portal is not active in this pilot. Until a production deletion executor and recent-authentication check are verified, email is the only active request path and completion is not represented as automatic.

What the request covers

DataAction after verification
Sign-in account, profile, personal preferencesDeleted or irreversibly deidentified.
Device grants, notification tokens, active sessionsRevoked and deleted; the user can no longer download campaign data.
Offline KnockList data on the user's devicePurged by the app when online revocation is received or the assignment expires. The user should also remove the app after pending work is resolved.
Support messages and request evidenceDeleted on the support-retention schedule, except minimal evidence needed to prove the request was completed or protect against abuse.

Campaign records may be separate

Doorstep outcomes, operational notes, opt-outs, assignment history, and audit events may be records controlled by the customer organization rather than the user's personal account. They may need to remain for campaign operations, source-license duties, fraud and security prevention, disputes, election-law compliance, or other legal obligations.

Where feasible, retained records are separated from the deleted login profile and limited to the fields and retention period required for that purpose. KnockList does not turn retained records into advertising profiles or make them available to unrelated campaigns. We will identify the relevant organization when a request must also be directed to that organization.

Before deleting

  1. Sync or report any pending offline work so it is not unintentionally lost.
  2. Tell your organization's authorized contact that you are leaving its field team.
  3. Download personal information you are entitled to receive, if needed.
  4. Remember that deleting a user account does not delete campaign-controlled records that must lawfully be retained.

Questions or lost access

Contact support@knocklistapp.com. The support team will explain any identity-verification step that is possible for a user who has lost account access. Do not include voter-file rows, doorstep outcomes, or sensitive notes.
